in SH3 graphic options what does syncronised do?
It does sync. your grapics card with the Hz (refresh) rate of the monitor.
If "on" it can make the visual "smoother" , and there won't be the tearing edges on the screen if you turn the camera fast from left to right.
Test it! Turn it on and play the game and move the camera fast.
And then turn it off and do the same!
You will "see" what it does!
Turn it off... we all do!

Vertical Sync can eat up FPS so if you have a stonking good graphics card then turning it on you will probably see smoother animations whilst using(turning in view) mouse......If your like me with a Ge-force 6600gt it can kinda slow my fps down but there again I play at 8X aniso and 4S anti-aliasing.....

I've recently tried the synchronized video option after reading these posts.
I play SH3 on a laptop which probably doesn't have quite the speed and abilities of some of your computers. I'm also running GW and SH3 Commander now, after playing SH3 for at least a year.
Previously, I was not aware of this video option and so far I'm rather pleased with the results. It appears that the game runs smoother, it's cetainly no worse. Just my opinion.

Hi... i am not the best to explain this but in my reduced knows...
Vettical sinc will sincronized the game fps with your monitor refresh rate, on ots value or multiplos or sub multiplos.
In example, if you monitor have 60 hz, your video crad will attempt to maintain 15, 30, 60 120 fps.
In example, if you control room has 110 fps with vertical sinc off, if you turn it on, you will have only 60 because 110 do not reachs 120.
It is good to save computer resources for another videeo card funcions as particles or some thing.
But... always is a "but", if into the external view you have in example 27 fps, wich is enough to human eyes, but it do not reach 30 fps, then they will be reduced to 15 fps, wich is not good for human eyes.
Do not take it as true, is only just what i know about this....
