......has to be, without question, the worst film that I have ever seen. Ever. However, it is so awful that you absolutely must see it. I cannot remember when I had laughed so hard for so long. My sides still hurt.

I am not wasting £10 to see that rubbish, I don't see many films now due to the cost of getting in. The last film I saw this year was MI3 which was better than MI2 but not as good as the original, and anyway on all these films wait another six months and you can rent the films on DVD for £3 a night. ;)

£10? Unbelievable... We pay half the price here, sometimes even less.

10 pounds is crazy. Here in Chicago it's $6.50 during the day and $8.00 at night.
But I have to see SoaP, it looks so bad that it'll be good.

The cost at my local cinema is £10 at night and £8 in the afternoon, a friend of mind lives in London and he pays anywhere from £10 to £15. It's rip off U.K. for you. :nope:

And if you buy snacks........ Well you get the picture.

The whole concept for this movie seems so odd. Maybe I'll have to try it when it comes out on DVD just for the laughs.

Well me being a SUB-Serpent, I don't really care to see it either. I would rather see snakes on a U-boat!!

Samuel L. Jackson has really been pimping this movie on the talk show circuit but the previews looked terrible (too much fake CGI) and the plot simply stupid (but hey, catering to people's fears of terrorism and air travel is profitable). Sounds like simply the latest piece of trash with this once respectable actor's name on the credits (who like so many other good actors now seems only to care about a paycheck instead of producing good movies).

Geez.....$8.00 to see a movie you might not even like?

Oh if it only were in the old days when movies cost a dime and you always got a double feature. They actually had GOOD movies in those days. Alfred Hitchcocks movies were the best.

dont judge a book by its cover but looking at this one you just know this is like the mid 80s trash, eh?

Dunno where Steed is living but up here I can pay £5 to see a movie. Just don't buy drinks or popcorn, or take your own in. Baggy trousers help :)

Come on Steed life here isn't that bad.

XabbaRus, your up Scotland way, I'm down here in the south and it's cost alot of money. A mate of mind up in Manchester can still get a pint for a £1 :o try getting that price down here. We pay any where from £1.70 to £2.30, that's just an example of life here in the south.

PS Lucky You. :)

That's just the thing. There is no pretence about this being a great film, or a good film, or even a bad film. It is, in fact, a horrific product, and bills itself just as that. It's camp, and was created to be camp. To rate the film as a serious artistic piece is to miss the point completely.

Hahahaha! The title alone should be your first clue as to how bad it is going to be. The second clue is the fact they didn't release it to critics before releasing it in theatres so as not to risk a bad review.

I hear that. I only do DVD's. My sound system is better than any theatre, and I don't have to deal with people talking, or walking past you, etc. Theatres suck!

Agreed! Why pay double, triple, or in some cases even more than that considering a DVD or VHS copy would be out a few more months later for much cheaper. Although, I am not understanding why people buy sooo many DVDs and VHSs? It's a movie and it never changes and replayability for them is seldom if ever. I have bought DVDs and VHSs in the past and all they do is take up space and collect dust. I should have just rented them and not wasted so much money buying them. :damn:
Obviously after watching them I know the story and have scene the action. It's always impressive the first time you watch a movie, but then it bores me to think of watching it again in most cases. Except for a few - Das Boot, I own and have watched it several times since owning a copy of it. I dread thinking about watching it when I'm not in the mood for sitting down for 6 hours though, but then sometimes something sparks me into loading it up and I ALWAYS get immersed into the film as if I was there. I always hate the ending of it though because I try to think that the movie will somehow forget to send in the british planes that sink the U-boat and kill off the crew.

bah, you lot are a load of old miseries. snakes on a plane is actually quite a bit of fun.

its not meant to be serious, realistic or emmy award winning. hell even its title is a joke. (was only a working title, but proved popular).

but i suppose thats the nature of this board, hardcore simmers.

snakes on plane - best part of it is SLJackson's promo on the Daily Show. See that, it's enough. :)

20,50 USD for a cinema ticket here in Sweden. I am glad to see that not only Sweden have crazy prices.

I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD, but I do want to see it.

My wife and I went to the cinema in Bristol last week to see Pirates of the Carribean 2 - £14 for the 2 tickets and £15 for 2 hotdogs, 2 drinks and a bucket of popcorn. Good movie though!

A review from www.netflix.com (http://www.netflix.com) (I guess you non USA guys n gals wouldn't know what that is?)

This fellow gave it 5/5 stars.:stare:
"FBI agent Neville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) hates mothaf&*%in’ snakes almost as much as he hates mothaf&*%in’ planes. But what happens when mothaf&*%in’ snakes are ON his mothaf&*%in’ plane? You can be mothaf&*%in’ certain that he's not going to mothaf&*%in’ stand for it. Snakes on a Plane takes the viewer on an mothaf&*%in’ incredible journey from the mothaf&*%in’ opening scene with a snake-less plane all the way to the thrilling mothaf&*%in’ climax where mothaf&*%in’ snakes are put on the mothaf&*%in’ plane! You'll never look at mothaf&*%in’ films the same way again once you find out just how many mothaf&*%in’ snakes are mothaf&*%in’ put on a mothaf&*%in’ plane in this mothaf&*%in’ gripping thriller mothaf&*%in’. Snakes on a mothaf&*%in’ Plane mothaf&*%er!"

Is the aircraft in this film as ludicrously big on the inside as was the plane in Passenger 57 with Wesley Snipes? I have been in the interior of 747 Combi's and 747 freighters and even then I don't feel like I am in a 1000 square foot warehouse which is the feeling I got when watching Passenger 57.

Lucky you!

My family had to endure back to back showings of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092007/) and Congo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112715/) on a long bus trip on our recent vacation.

Things were just as bad when we arrived at our hotel, with the best thing showing on TV being Mighty Joe Young (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120751/).

At that point, we all went ape.
