PC madness, today from Germany

The "Allgemeine Gleichbehandlungs-Gesetz" in Germany is active since today. Basing on a directive from Brussel who demands from EU memberstates to implement laws that should prevent discrimination of people due to their race, ethnic origin, and sex (so far one at least could understand the intention) in both job-related laws and civil laws. But in Germany, this was not enough, under Green-Red the German version practices some megalomania and now exceeds the demand by Brussel by far, making religion, sexual orientation, age and physical handicaps objects of the new law as well.

This leads to strange phenomenons. For example, if you happen to look for employees, in this case a "Sekräterin" (secretary), then you are in trouble, because in Germany, from now on "secretary" is considered to be a discriminative term. We do not have secretaries anymore. We also do not have "Lastkraftfahrer " (truck driver) anymore, for this again falls under the lingual restriction of this law. If you want to hire a "truck driver", then you are violating the law. Both terms are discriminative from now on.

It could lead to someone inviting interested people that are looking for a job, or an appartement - and if you do not give them the job or appartement, they could charge you on the ground of discriminative behavior, if they happen to be of one of the two sexes, are homosexual or heterosexual, are members of any religion, happen to have white, black, brown, yellow or red skin, and are representing any of the world's races. German lawyers already predict a flood of legal processes.

It is the most athoritarian law ever made in German history past WWII. It is a de facto expropriation/dispossession of economic enterprises, and house-owners renting flats. The law is made in that way that the burden of proof is reversed. Not the "victim" must proove that it was discriminated, but the accused must proove that he/she was not acting on the basis of discriminative reasons. The simp,e accusation is enough to ruin someone - you must not proove your accusation. so give it a try, shoot a wild shot, even if you have no cause - in the best case you win, in the worst case nothing will have changed for you. No risk, only chances to get through.

The law aims at preventing citizens to object to and not support politically wanted agendas. You are doomed to suppoort them now. You are prohibited to object (by non-supporting deeds) to political opinion-making. De facto, it is an incapacitation of citizens, denying them the right to choose if they want to support a given policy of the political parties, or not. You are obligated not to voice your different opinion. you may not act to support your differing opinion. You are obligated to streamline your opinion.

Many people in Berlin find it disgusting that the gay mayor they have, some weeks ago invited and openly welcomed a sado-maso-congress of homosexual people. Their perfomance in the street was disgusting and for example violates my personal behavior code and moral rules (which are considered to be invalid, obviously). But people like me or many in Berlin have no more right to object to this immoral public presentation of sexuality and nakedness in public. Thanks to that sympathizing mayor, and this new law. Tolerating homosexuality is one thing. Being ordered to accept shameless freaks performing during christopher street day, even in violating of one's own moral vlauesabiout sex and nudity, is something different. Eh, WAs something diffrent. From now on, it is the same.

It doesn't happen often, but occasionally we search for new tenants in the house my mother owns. Usually that is my job. I said it openly before, I personally do not accept Muslim immigrants if they have not fully integrated and molten into German society, for I disagree with the immigration policy of my country and reserve the right not to support it by word - or deed, and I refuse to help Islam feeling comfortable in europe. that means I do not help people to feel comfortable in Germany if they do not accept Germany in the widest meaning of the word. From now on, any noisy, misbehaving Albanian family clan with eight children, speaking with feet and hands but not in German language, and living by social wellfare and having not enough money to pay the rent, - can bring me to court if I say No to them. Nice. I am even obligated to accept tenants of whom I am suspicious that they cannot pay the rent, or that there will be trouble with them. I have no more legal right to reject anybody - that is discriminative since today. But noone tells me how I should make a selection - if I risk legal consequences by everybody to whom I say No. :-? De facto I am no longer full owner of my own possession.

Consider the consequences in the economy. I predict that companies will become very hesitent from now on to build new jobs. That's what the IHK (Industrie und Handelskammer) also is fearing.

Before I ever will rent a flat to somebody I do not want as a tenant, I burn down the whole house, I swear it. The European Union as well as such kind of tyrant opinion enforcing should be classified as serious mental syndroms in chapter F of the ICD. It's about a creeping installation of a new kind of dictatorship. The EU is a mental disease.

Highly depressing, that's what modern life is. Life is over with your 30th birthday. I had two or three invitation to leave life behind in earlier years. Should haven taken one of these opportunities. The older I get, the angrier I become, being prevented from effectively fighting against this madness at the same time. What's the use of such living? Think of it in terms of deed-related paraplegia - you are prohibited to oppose.

Will it be a discrimination in the future to say that a woman's hair is "blond"...?

Hmm we have had some pretty crazy equality suits here in Britain but nothing that bad. Though I hate to see Chairperson etc. I must admit that I am a draughtsman and the job was advertised as such.

It is crazy though, when you are renting out your property you are going to discriminate, that is the naure of choosing a tennant etc. I though my German cousins were more sensible.

The worse of it is that this will serve as an example. By now It should be a matter of days untill I start seeing politicians on the TV preaching about this German innovation and why everybody else should follow through.

The EU is dangerous exactly because it's so predictable. Anybody can predict their next step, but as the saying goes: the worst kind of blind is the one who refuses to see.

EDIT: Well, well. I've just bumped into a recent case. I have found a journalist who received 63 individual but simultaneous criminal complaints because he made a non-patriotic joke about a province. The 63 offended complainers are all affiliated to the same political party. Quite a tactic. With this German law they'd have won and turned the guy into a bankrupt life-sentence prisioner. But even without it all these individual lawsuits cost money, taxes, time and sleep, it would be less of a hassle to combine the cases, but they don't do so on purpose, to make everything harder, more tiresome and more expensive.

It would be catastrophic if such a mass Front appeared in Germany. Skybird is concerned with the occasional opportunistic lawsuit and Human Resources difficulty. But you can pretty much utterly destroy freedom of the press and expression if you bombard everybody who doesn't follow the official policy with 100 criminal complaints every couple of months or so, by different people.
