Using the latset patch and Grey Wolves mod - I sometimes manually set distance, AOB, and target speed and then switch to TDC to get my shots off - but at times I like to rush in and just fire a torpedo exactly where my perescope is pointing. However - I have a hard time resetting or wiping clean the TDC. What procedure do you use to 'blank out' the computer so that when the periscope is pointed at 45 the torpedo is also aimed at 45?

Thanks - I know it muct be a couple of clicks but I have found it frustrationg to be approaching a destroyer and been unable to consistently reboot the TDC.

well I am not sure just "clearing the computer" will do anything for you. If you want the fish to run straight from where you shoot it aiming with the peri, I think all you have to do is set speed=0; range can be whatever I think..,AOB could be anything too, and then lock the TDC to scope for bearing. So as long as you just set target speed to 0 kts and then lock your scope to the TDC, that should be all the settings you need to adjust. then just aim and shoot.

on another note: since the topic is resetting the TDC, does anyone know how to clear the notepad AOB setting so everytime I click the check mark updating range, it doesn't change my AOB setting as well in the TDC?? It is very annoying, since sometimes I like to make an initial AOB estimate by eye-ing it, and then calculate it on the map and input it manually.

What I do is set the TDC to manual / drag the dial to speed=0 / reset the TDC to auto / go to periscope and 'lock the target to scope'? I don't like that last step cause more often then not I want to lead my target based on my own intuitive observations. Other then that am I following you?

You dont have to do the last step of locking the target. Once you have reset speed to 0 and clicked the TDC auto button, your torpedo will fire right down the bearing your scope is pointing, making it "point and shoot". Just dont click the check mark on the notepad after you have left the F6 TDC screen, because that will reset the TDC to whatever speed it says, and you no longer have point and shoot.

right I actually meant lock scope to TDC (i.e. making sure the TDC is on "auto" so scope is linked to the TDC comp). apparently the notepad cannot be erased, only updated, so be careful there, don't click the check mark, or you might override your settings inputed manually as I have done many times...
