Muslims have mixed feelings about the ‘West’. By the ‘West’ I don’t mean a geographical point, but rather the values they associate with it. They love to talk about how corrupted, devoid of values, imperialist and exploitative the West is. They discuss it in coffee shops, after dinner, smoking their water pipes, and of course in mosques and Islamic centers all over the Muslim and non Muslim world. In fact, it’s their favorite amusement. They especially relish discussing the disgusting alliance between the two major ‘Shaytans’- America and the Jews. There are books sold in Islamic bookshops depicting America, the UK and the Jews as the antichrist, the Dajjal, predicted in numerous Ahadith. Bearded men in robes distribute fliers outside Britain’s shopping centers defining democracy as the world’s greatest abomination. They talk and talk, and dream of a world controlled by Muslims, then everything would be fine.
Now, it is well known to us what the tenets of Islam are. The ideal Islamic world would be that in which Sharia law is implemented. Or, at least, that’s what the majority of Muslims think. Of course, there are some who dream of some sort of reformation, but those are but a few, and have strong opposition from mainstream Muslims.
An Islamically controlled world would ban alcoholic drinks, sex outside marriage, gambling, interest on loans, pop music, and much of western technology and advances. It would enforce punishments for various crimes, such as public lashing and stoning for adulterers and fornicators, hanging, shooting to death or beheading for murder and other crimes, cutting off hands for the thieves, etc.
The thing is, though, many Muslims have had it easy so far (especially men). They always had the kaffir lands in which to relax those laws. Those who live in western countries where large communities of Muslims live (or Muslims often travel to), such as the UK, are familiar with gambling Muslims, Muslim prostitutes, drinking Muslims and so on. Even shoplifting Muslims. (bold marking by Skybird) But, I suppose that’s ok as it’s only kaffirland (if it wasn’t because it also happens in Muslim lands, such as Egypt and Morocco, etc, etc, etc). But, then again, what would happen if Sharia law were universally enforced? What would become of Gulf sheiks that love to enjoy the sinful ‘western pleasures’? Could they fly off to Las Vegas or delight in the company of halal ‘right hand possessions’, in the shape of beautiful kaffir or Muslim girls to have sex with? I say sheiks but the same can be applied to many others who enjoy their escapades to the West and to the East. What would happen to the Saudis who travel to countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, or closer to home, Bahrain or the United Arab Emirates, where there is abundance of drink and women (Russian, Filipino, and other nationalities)? Where could they unleash their frustrations and drink and harass women to their hearts content?
All throughout history we heard of the lavish living of khalifas and sultans, with their harems and so on. They are not ones for ascetic and austere living. They always had their riches and slaves (many of them acquired through their raids and jihads), their dancers, concubines, etc. So as long as there are kaffirs, many suffering Muslims can have a breather. They enjoy their Madonna and Shakira’s songs and the indecent rhythms of the infidels. Are they all going to become bearded mullahs, counting prayer beads and reciting Koran 24/7? What would happen to Muslim boys and men who want to have their enjoyment before and after marriage? What if there were no infidel women? It would be a problem indeed. Moreover, what would they do without Hollywood movies, mobile phones, digital technology, kaffir cars and other vehicles and kaffir medical advances they so eagerly crave
But the truth is, Islam needs the ‘West’. The ‘West’ can be in the North, East or South. The ‘West’ has always been in their own lands, meaning their depiction of the West, e.g pervertion, corruption, imperialism and exploitation. Rather than acknowledging the positive side of the real West, such as democracy and freedom of speech, Muslims demonize it. I guess it suits them fine to distract themselves from their own demons. Their antagonism to it unites them and gives them purpose, though they could not do without its products. No doubt, the ‘West’ is no angel, but what would happen if it wasn’t there? They could no longer have those entertaining discussions about conspiracy theories and the crusaders menace. They would then have to fight each other, even more than they do now, in order to implement their notion of pure Islam, be it Sunni, Shia, Ahmadi, Bahai, Sufi, etc. It’s always good state of affairs for Muslims to have an outside enemy, and there is the added bonus of Jews being involved (and I don’t think Jews are angels either). As long as they look at the others’ speck, they won’t see the beam in their own eye. It’s comfortable to sit down, drink tea and debate on how wonderful life would be if the world was controlled by Muslims, and then watch the latest Bollywood movie or listen to hip hop and rap. Damn kaffirs, they do entertain us.
Well, I guess they need not fear. In the event of a general Islamization of the world not everyone would convert so there would never be a shortage of infidels they can discuss about, women they could enjoy and as per the drinks, and other pleasures, I suppose they will find a way as well, somehow. And there should always be kaffirs and blasphemers (e.g. members of other sects), otherwise, who would inhabit hell? It wouldn’t be fun.
In their Islamic world, the ‘West’ (as they see it), will always flourish for some, but civilized society, which took millennia to reach this point, will disappear.
