As I was passing by Malta I decided to attack the port there.

Ah, the infamous port of Valletta. I too made a visit there..... on a WaW patrol, without the support of friendlies. Oh and did I mention the five DDīs, ~25-30m waters and that I was being bombed with ~170 DCīs? Thatīs is the first time I was afraid when playin any game. But luckily, we survived but with heavy damage. And if I recall right, we were sunk on the next patrol by RAF from the Malta. :nope:

I remember one of my careers in the med when I sunk a coastal tanker and a C3 at Valletta, eight destroyers went on the hunt for me and I suffered heavy damage but survived thanks to a Luftwaffe raid which detracted the destroyers. I think three were sunk and two damaged, I lived to fight another day.

Gotta love the Luftwaffe at Valetta! I've been there about 4 times in the career I'm currently playing and almost like clockwork the flyboys come on in a bombe the place. From what I've read this is pretty historically accurate.

Anyway first time there I bagged a T2 Tanker and a King George BB in the outer harbour. 2nd time I snuck all the way up to the inner harber to whack an Illustious carrier. It's very shallow in therebut there are quite a few docks you can hide in while watching the DD's and corvettes run into them trying to get you on the external camera.

Last two time there's been nothing but a couple of DD's and DE's so I guess the brits didn't like having their capital ships sunk at anchor anymore. I'm going to keep going there although it's probably going to get tough as I'm just about into 1943 now and things are getting a bit hairy with air cover.
