Well as I say a new one on me anyway.
Bouncing around in AM37 in a full gale somewhere in the channel between Isle of Skye and Isle of Lewis, keeping a watchful eye through the mist and spray on what I suspected was a Flower class corvette which was rolling its guts out.................
when the corvette rolls through >90degrees to starboard and never recovers, eventually sinking. Not a shot fired.
Yes it dose happen it should appear on your map as a sunken ship in the colour grey. :yep:

I've seen Elco PT's, corvettes and even a Coastal Merch kill themselves in heavy weather. Apparently if the hit points for the ship are depleted the ship will die eventually. I think it depends on how much water gets washed over the decks as this somehow knocks off hit points.
Anyone else out there know what causes this?
I do believe that the Atlantic has something, I'm not sure exactly, of a reputation, a few rumours, of causing some ships to ummm... I dunno, not float? It's just a guess. Itmight be an old wives tale. All that water and wind... who knows. Might make trouble for sailors.:hmm:
