It's seems that in GW added more ships but 1 ship shouldn't come in play, but extra tonnages is nice.

I am talking about HMHS Britannic the Brittish red cross ship in SHIII.
It's a beautiful ship, but it placed in the wrong time.

here some links to read by yourself...

Incidentally the Keiler Zeitung claimed that the Britannic had been torpedoed because the ship was carrying troops. After a period of speculation the mine theory was confirmed by U-73's commander Siess' log. he had only laid mines.

Uhh... Did I miss something? The Britannic was never placed into the GW mod. The only hospital ship included with the mod is one based on the Old Liner/Auxiliary Cruiser ship. As far as I know, there are no Olympic class models for the SH3. Britannic was my favorite of the three Olympic class ships, so I'm pretty sure it's not in the game.

You guys are right but I know where he is coming from. The GW Hospital ship paint scheme is the same as the Britannic paint scheme. Also the Old Liner/Hospital ship hull is very similar to the Olympic class hull. The superstructure is very different however...

The first time I saw the GW Hospital ship I too thought, "WOW somebody modelled the Britannic!" However at closer examination I came to my senses.

If I remember right, the Britanntic was a hosptial ship that was in the Mediterrean sea and struck a mine that was laid by a German submarine during WW1. She sank so fast and at such an angle that hardly any lifeboats could be launched thus taking the majority of the passengers with her.

Britannic sank in 56 minutes. She could have probably survived if two things had happened: When she struck the mine, her watertight doors were rendered useless. The captain was not able to lower them. Also, the nurses that day had opened all the portholes to air out the ship. With those open water poored in even faster as the ship sank lower. The captain had not ordered lifeboats to be lowered when they were. He was attempting to beach the ship to try and save it. Being lifeboats were being lowered, as the bow sank deeper, the propellors started to rise out of the water. The only casualties from the ship that day were when a lifeboat filled with 31 if I remember right, got chopped to bits in the portside screw. Violet Jessup was in that lifeboat. She survived, but was injured. Violet Jessup was also on Titanic when it sank. When the captain learned of the lifeboats being lowered he stopped the ship. The Britannic was not carrying any wounded when she sank. If she had, the loss of life would have been huge. As it were, there were about 1100 on board when she struck the mine. Britannic, is to this day, the largest ocean liner wreck on the bottom. Britannic was about 5,000 tonnes heavier than her famous sister. Oddly enough, the captain of Britannic was the man who oversaw the development of her safety features when she was being built.

I don't think the ship used in SH3 has a hull that looks anything like the Olympic class ships. Additionaly, it takes less than a second to realise that it is not Britannic. Britannic had four funnels. The lifeboat davits used were the gantry type davits and not the Wellin davits like those used on Olympic and Titanic. The Britannic was 882 feet long. The model used in SH3 would probably be about 1/2 that length. Britannic had 48 lifeboats. Two were motorised.

If I was the captain of a ship and saw Violet Jessup waiting to board, I would refuse to allow her. She must be a jinx. :D

Thats what they are saying..the Britannic is not in GW.It was a mistaken ID on the hospital ship that is in the game and painted with the same style markings.
