View Full Version : Sank a neutral ship
The Munster

My fourth patrol and I'm off the place where they hung the Monkey whereupon I bumped into a large merchant with a flag I didn't recognise (all red with two horizontal black bars with a white bar sandwiched between them ?!) so as it was heading 'home', I decided to sink her (and yes, the crew didn't cheer when it finally went under). The question is how many renown points do I lose for doing this and if I don't have enough renown points to cover it, will it look like my Overdraft ?! :nope:

It's in the game manual: you lose renown equal to the renown you would have gained if it were an enemy ship. I don't know if it's reduced for 'realism' level.
BDU will get the big stick out again, another captain is in for six of the best.

Admiral Doenitz keeps sending Radio messages to me requesting a report; I've decided to ignore him for the time being.

Don't know what mods your playing but in GW you do get a message stateing any neutral ships in a convoy you are allow to sink,.Just change the renown from minus to plus in your basic.cfg

You're not the only one who's gone off Hartlepool.

I'm just going off the topic a bit to state that the people of Hartlepool take it on the chin better now regarding the Monkey thing (I believe there are even T-shirts in circulation on the subject). 20 years ago, you'd risk getting your head kicked in if you brought it into a conversation !
