MMO? That's good and bad.

The internet is a shield for vandalism. People with an inferiority complex who would never dare walking inside a biker's club to mock and cause mischief, can safely do so in MMO games.

I hope it's possible to set up servers outside Microsoft, if that's how it's going to work, because I suppose Microsoft would hesitate to warn, ban and moderate their own server.

Either that, or give us an ignore list where we can completely ignore a user, his voice, his text, his aircraft. I'm all immersed on my flight, completely disconnected from the real-world, and then some punk figures taking off the wrong way on the active runway I'm about to land is so much cool and the immersion bubble is popped, fragile as it is.

Perhaps ATC could have moderator powers on your server so that they can kick and deal with people who do not comply at all or unfortunately can't speak and understand the language. Sure it happens in real life, sure it's a good way to practice your British or Australian fake accent if it's English, but if it's so bad 'az to gonbletely privent any furmz töf kommunicayzions, out ze door you go'. Let's have the casual, relaxed Fun-for-All server, and the professional one, please.

This video is funny for a number of reasons, not the least of which, is the controller allowing the aerodrome to remain active during an emergency involving an air carrier with hundreds of people on board. Her first action would have been to stop all other radio communications and deny all non-critical activity w/in EDDF airspace. Next she'd be asking the pilot the nature of the emergency and the fuel and souls onboard. SOP

But as said previously, it'l bring the uninitiated folks into the fold.

As a real world and simulator pilot, id like to say.....good GOD did you miss the point.

By the way, VATSIM will kick the ass of anything Microsoft can produce for multiplayer flight simming.

I guess so. Fill me in.

I was in IMC with smoke in the cockpit. I take emergency situations very seriously.

Even ones that are meant as a joke in an advertisement for a video game?
