One of the workers at the western city of Mechernich's post office wrestled the escaping snake and put it in a container I see that German posties take their work very seriously indeed, above and beyond one might say. How did they know it was not venomous? :o

On the other hand, I could see it as a new XtremeSport - send postie a nondescript package for him to 'wrestle' whatever happened to be inside; but only after the 'Royal Mail' style rough handling of the delivery. I think almost everyone can differ a python from any other kind of snake. And then, 1.5 m is not too long for a python. However, it needs willpower to even touch a snake. but I would have loved to see the faces of people when they say it appearing between the parcels! :lol: concerning that women: put her into a box the size of a coffin,give her air to breath and have her ship around for a day or two. Should teach her a lesson.
