Nice to see it online. I've had a copy on disc for some time now; even posted screenshots in the thread on modding the interiors. I've watched the movie several times, and I don't think it's any more propaganda than most other countries' wartime movies.

One nice touch: Doenitz plays himself in two different scenes.

Watched it today. It was enjoyable even if the ending was a little abrupt. Would love to see an extended version.

I watched this documentary on German propaganda movies, and one of the things I learned was that the u-boat men apparently found the movie-makers a royal pain the butt, due to how they got in the way. They couldn't film during battle for that reason, so most of the war footage was staged.

I could be wrong, I saw the documentary quite a while ago.

That keepvid.com link did the trick. I saved it as an avi file and had to download divX to play it since neither WMP nor Creative Mediasource would recognize it. Be warned, it's a huge file (over 300MB).

The only thing that movie really needed was english subtitles. But it was pretty easy to read the men, especially at the end when they had to sink that ship with their comrades on board.

Does anyone know the title of the music that plays at the beginning of the movie when the boat surfaces? It sounds like the music used in Triumph des Willens when Hitler's place is coming in to land at Nurnberg. I'd love to get that for the grammophone. Any help?
