Well looking at that map, and in the spirit of being fair and balanced, I would point out that this "botched police raids epidemic" has been completely blown out of proportion, which you can see for yourself if you just look at North Dakota!

A small price to pay for our great progress in our 60 year long war on drugs.

Do you mean a map like that, or would you merely like more police aggression?

That map and those statistics are worthless and useless. Why? because they dont give any frame of reference (like how many operations went right, how many lives saved, etc) and that map i think is composed of incidents compiled over the last of 20 years.

There is no epidemic, that site is blowing things way out of proportion almost certainly on purpose to fufill their own agenda.

I'm wondering if the "war on drugs" has more to do with the government being pissed off at not getting tax on earnings...or actual drug use. :hmm: Do you really need SWAT after they find a few marijuana seeds in a garbage bin? In Holland Marijuana isn't even illegal...not that I like the stuf...hate drugs, always have.

Property confiscation baby. The government can seize the money, car, boat, house and land from anyone accused (note i didn't say convicted) of a drug offense if they can tie the asset to the crime with even the most slenderest of threads.

That is both a good and very bad thing. I think it is something that needs to be looked at and rewritten.

Yeah, when it's used against real life criminal kingpins but when it's used steal the houses of retired people because their grandson grew a couple of pot plants in the back yard without their knowledge like has happened it definitely could use improvement.
