I'll try and be brief. I've recently upgraded my computer system to a Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe with the ATI Crossfire Xpress 3200 chipset. I'm running two HIS x1900 series in Crossfire mode. I'm having all kinds of problems trying to play SH III. I'm hoping that some of you SH III experts will share your computer setups with me so I can figure out how to get SH3 to play more smoothly on my computer. I've always had the problem with the bad time compression which runs very erraticllly and the mouse pointer which freezes all the time. Now I'm having the game crash all the time when I'm trying to play.

:ping: Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I've answered one of my own questions. SH3 is not one of those games that can be played with a dual video card setup. I disabled my Crossfire setup and just performed my first patrol using the Gray Wolf's SuperMod 1.1a. No crashes through the entire patrol. If anybody is interested?

I've just got a new computer its:
2gb of memory
3gh prosessor
180gb hard drive
252bit sound card
128bit video card

It plays the game really well my last computer was so out of date it took nearly 15 mins to load the game up if at all:damn:

Ummm...I have this computer, see, and it, like, plays games and stuff, so I can like, you know, play Silent Hunter Three and stuff, you know?

Sorry. Pentium I don't remember the number, 3 GHz, 256 MB RAM, Radeon video card, onboard sound, homeless right now so I can't get to it to look up the exact specs; or play the game for that matter.

AMD64+3000
2 x 512Mb DDR400 2-2-2-5-t1( Corsair)
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
2 x Western Digital 37Gb SATA 10000 RPM ( Raptors , striped )
2 x XFX Geforce 7600Gt's in SLI mode

My CPU is the limitation in SH3, waiting for AMD to drop prices in a couple of weeks before I spend more money.

I had to set up the profile for SH3 before I got really good graphics in the game. Curves are smooth, angles look good and explosions are spectacular. Frame rate hovers around 60 fps most times untill the cpu has to do something important....

This game runs very well in sli mode with Nvidia graphics cards. Sorry to say this, but your problem may be in your cards drivers or the cards themselves, or maybe even your motherboard. I don't know much about ATI products, so maybe you can try to track down this problem on the net or keep asking for help here.

Good luck....
