I guess this has been discussed already but maybe someone can give me an update on what's going on?

How is it possible to be working on SH4 when the damage/crew engine in SH3 is completely broken? How is it possible to leave a game as super good as SH3 with these two major flaws?

If the damage model was made more arcadish to lure light simmers then was it a success? How many on this forum is happy with the damage model, let me see your hands!

I really can't understand how someone can leave SH3 in this state. It's a shame!

There are more than two major flaws......great game ...dont get me wrong....just could have been so much better...with just a little more Testing....it sucks so much that they put a time table on this game only to not completely finish it.

As far as the dump of support from UBI....I guess they thought the community would be able to patch it....which, of course, is the wrong attitude. What i would give for an expansion pack with Wolfpacks/friendly uboats. Who knows why they didnt make an expansion pack.

I think it's total stupidity to move on to the next theater before the first one has reached it's potential. To me SH3 is a work of art, but not yet finsished. Fixed damage/fatigue and maybe wolfpacks it would be a game to last over ten years. A few succesful expansions and it would even bring in some war gold.

Wouldn't it be nice if SH4 is to SH3 what AEP and PF is to IL2FB, that is, installable over the top with some fundamental flaws fixed and new bits added to expand the overall game (note singular use of the word game here).

Won't happen though.

Or they could always do what EA did with BF2..either release a patch just before sh4 comes out or have a patch on the SH4 disk.

Or fix everything and release it as SH3.5, or SHIII-Kaluen's Edition.

? for the members who have been around longer and know the history of ubi development. Is it already set in stone that ubi will not officialy revisit sh3 or never release the sdk? read on some mod threads that there are certain things the modders can not do without the sdk release.
(ignorant on wht sdk is--does it enable altering of the hard-coded parts of the game?)
