Hi!

I'm wondering if the administrator can remove the required login from the old forum? I'm trying to download mods from the "mod tips (UPDATED 15/04/2006)" thread but can't... I'm not the only one having this problem. Please hear our prayrs!

I am also having problems, when I click on a thread redirect it always asks for my password and will not let me in when password is given.

Also have the same problem here...there were some other threads about this,and mr Neal said that he removed the log-in from the old archives.For some reason they still don't work:(

He has removed the login from the Mods forum thatīs in the old archive (http://www.subsim.com/phpBB_archive1/) (http://www.subsim.com/phpBB_archive1/%29), but not from the old main (not archived) Mods forum.

I do not understand what you guys mean:doh: I checked both the Archive forum here http://www.subsim.com/phpBB_archive1/

and the defunct forum here http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/index.php


and both have the settings where ALL can view and read the threads in the SH3 Mods workshop...

Help me understand, some examples please :hmm:

When you are not logged in you canīt access the phpbb Mods forum, it asks for username and password.

Ok i have made some screens and i'm going to show you what happens.Maybe i did something wrong or some other thing ...anyway
In the first picture i go to the archives.Then,i click on a mod that is hosted on subsim.In the picture i clicked on the texture mod ,but if i click random mods i have the same result.

Then,when i click,i get to this screen:

Thanks, good summary. You are in the archive forum but clicking on a link to the Olde Defunct Forum... and for some strange reason, even though I checked three times... it was set not to allow entry into the SH3 Mods workshop without being logged in.

Hopefully, that is fixed now, please let me know.

Your username and password doesnīt work there because you werenīt a member of the old phpBB forum.

He has removed the required login from the phpbb Mods forum archive (http://www.subsim.com/phpBB_archive1/viewforum.php?f=41), but not from the old main phbBB Mods forum (http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=41). All links in the Modlist thread point to the main Mods forum.

Well, the links in the Modlist point to the discussion threads, not to the download itself. You can download many of those mods from http://u-boot.realsimulation.com, use the search feature to find the right files.

If I try, this wierd looking text appears...

In the forum it doesn't matter which thread you want to reach as all of them require password...

I'm out of download options... On top of that there are so many fixes for radar, battery etc. that even if I could download them it would take forever to figure out a good combination which takes care of the stock game bugs. I have asked in the forums but people seem to stick to the supermods which requires so much from your computer that even good computers have problems in harbours...

Right now i use RUB 1.45 with SH3 Commander 2.6 but I'm sure there are some fixes out their that i need...

Install WinRar (a compression program), then it should work:

Check out Avonīs website:

She uses RUB and lists all the mods and fixes she has installed, with download links.

I also just found several files that I canīt download with Firefox or IE. :hmm: I could download them with a download manager, the archives are ok...

So it's the browser then...i usually use mozilla,but i've also tried IE and Opera and they don't work.I'll try a download manager and see if that works.

Oh-joy!It worked!Thanks for the info Gizzmoe (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/member.php?u=215009) .I used Flashget and the files work.So it is the browser that is the problem.

Download manager worked, thanks! Already checked avons faq, scanning RUB1.45 readme for missing fixes...

To bad u-boot realsimulation havn't updated for a while. I won't know if I missed certain fixes. I will have this game up and kickin' by toninght!:smug:
