Aircraft dont like me. Im starting to feel upset. Since i reinstalled the game a few reinstalls ago i have ntoiced i dont see aircraft anymore, even when i start a career in 1945 i can stay on surface all the way to britain, i dont pick up any on radar, see them etc. Iv tried reisntalling stock many times using both NYGM and GW mods (seperatly), i also use SH3commander but other than these no mods but i still dont get nuked by them, is there anyware to fix this

As far as i know, the real-airforce or whatever it's called mod is included in both GW and NYGM so you should see aircraft.Try checking the map for air-cover grids and go right inside them and see if you get bombed.
I also scarcely see aircraft ,but i am playing in 1939 currently (i want to pass the war from start-to-end :D ),so i get attacked once-twice on patrol by some little fighter-bombers that don't even damage me .

When I played stock SH3 I got a lot of airstrike even during 39-43.
After installing GW, number of airstrike decreased to like only 3-4 times during
the same time period (roughly 20 patrols). I'm in may, 1943 now and I get air
attacked frequently, thank god! (I play 256TC or less)

Hey folks, don't say 'enjoy while it lasts' bullsxxt because having no enemy
aircraft for the half of game time really sucks.

Anyone know how to increase air attack in the early period, to like the stock model?

Hmm no aircraft eh? come on patrol with me you'll get sick and tierd of them,or run out of ammo trying to shoot them down.

You will not get aircraft contacts in 1024 or higher TC. Cruise around in 512 or lower and get back to us :)

I don't use GW or NYGM, just SH3 Commander and the mods I've installed. I always run at TC128 and I get attacked by aircraft all the time. When the sea is quiet enough I have to keep a seaman at the Flak gun at all times. Believe me, when you constantly get aircraft attack by Hurricane Fighter Bombers or Catalinas dropping bombs of DCs, it's no fun, but it is challenging. I'm on my 42nd patrol in July 1943 and I get air attacks. I use no special mod that creates aircraft attacks.

Keep the same seaman at the Flak gun and he gains better efficiency. I found that he couldn't hit a darn thing at first but once he got the hang of it, he was shooting them down like they were "Pigeons" (just like shooting trap :rotfl: ) just as long as it's a lone aircraft, he has no problem. But once, He was able to shoot one down out of three. I didn't realize there were three until I enlarged the map.

my watch crew doesnt spot aircraft until they are close or medium range, and by that time its almost too late.... is that normal?

Without the 360° radar, you are dependant on your watch crew and it is usually medium or short range. I think only once did they spot one at long range.

I have only seen 1 aircraft, and it was in an odd occurrence during 1939 outside a port, I think Dover. There was an armed trawler on the surface pretty close to my boat, so I dove to periscope depth. A German (yes, German) plane comes and attacks the armed trawler. I don't even remember having sent a contact report first...
