Question re neutrals

Hi guys

I've got GW 1.1a + SH Commander (latest) installed and started a career in 1939 as a Type VII captain in 2nd Flotilla. Its October 1939 and I've received the news (as I'm sailing out of Wilhemshaven) that England, France, Sth Africa, Australia, etc etc have declared war on Germany...yadda yadda yadda......

but hang on.....:o.....wtf is that sitting in our harbour? 2 French C3's!!! :arrgh!: what I want to know is.....can I sink them?

i would save the game and then blow them to hell if it says "you naughty boy" then load up again and leave them be lol:arrgh!:

In the real world the facts are this, England declared war at 11:00 AM the French at 17:00 PM. So what time have you got in the game?


1939: Britain and France declare war on Germany
Britain and France are at war with Germany following the invasion of Poland two days ago.

At 1115 BST the Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, announced the British deadline for the withdrawal of German troops from Poland had expired.
He said the British ambassador to Berlin had handed a final note to the German government this morning saying unless it announced plans to withdraw from Poland by 1100, a state of war would exist between the two countries.
Mr Chamberlain continued: "I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received and consequently this country is at war with Germany."
Similarly the French issued an ultimatum, which was presented in Berlin at 1230, saying France would be at war unless a 1700 deadline for the troops' withdrawal was adhered to.

Unless you have a different version than I do, they aren't French-they're Dutch. French strips run vertically, Dutch run horizontally, both are Red, White and Blue.

Well, in the RL those ships would have been captured as prize.
Sounds funny: "Hey, captain, there's two french ships anchored. Let's sink them!"

nope...they're froggies alright. And its October ie. 1 month later. I didn't get a chance to try it out last night (as playing RO instead :rock: ) but will do so later and will let you know.
