Sorry I am really new to this game (just bought it). I guess better late than never.
I know that question was probably asked many many times, but I would like to know which Mod should I have (More stable and kind of ``water proof`` and tested by this community.

Thank you very much1

No will be able to answer that for you just like they can't in all the other numerous posts asking the same thing...all you can do is try them out and pick for yourself.

The whole process of choosing mods is personal preference. So no one person will be able to say one mod or another is best or not.Its going to all come down to you testing them and picking the one that best suits your personal play style and likes and dislikes. It all depends on you.

Right now the 2 biggest/most used mods out there are the Not Your Grandmothers Uboat mod and the Grey Wolves mod.Download them and try them out...then make a decision from there.

Personally I would play unmodded for at least a few missions and patrols. It will give you a better understanding of what you like and dislike, which will make your modding decisions more informed at the very least.

When you do start modding, start with JSGME Mod Enabler.

Amen.

I would say, though, that the two 'big' mods just now are both biased towards realism, NYGM in particular. So if you really are very new to the game you might want to bear that in mind. Of course, you may be a 'deep end' first kind of guy so that might be what you are looking for.

Whatever you do, get hold hold of JScone's Mod Enabler which makes life so much easier when trying different mods. it allows you to install them and remove them with the press of a single button as long as they have been configured for it. I would imagine most mods are by now. You might also want to try his SHcommander program which does wonders for various elements of the game from the campaign to simple little tweaks.

get them from here:

personally, I use NYGM 2.0 with SH Commander and SHweather. it does me fine and is nice and challenging.
