Perisher

I am researching the perisher course in the RN and commonwealth navies.Were any of you involved in this,and if you were can you tell me:-
1 In what capacity
2 When
3 Which boat
4 Anything else you want to tell me.

Try and get hold of the book 'Submarine' by Jonathan Crane, it has a good chapter (50 - 60 pages) all about the perisher.

I already have it lesrae.I have also posted on submariners.co.uk plus I sent an email to navy news.Apparently there are lots of name boards at the submarine school down at Raleigh.Does anybody have a contact there?
