Hello all,
I'm just posting to let everyone know that I have reached a 'situation critical' point in my life. With my family financial situation being on the brink and going 0-4 with college due to family issues each and every time, I have decided to re-enlist. This time in the Army. They will give me my E-3 rank and I don't have to attend boot camp. Just a 4 week "Warrior Transition Course" designed to teach Air Force and Navy prior service members to learn the ways of the Army. I don't know what they'll offer me when I get to MEPS, but I'm looking at something intel or computer related. I'll keep everyone updated as it will be a couple of weeks before things are squared away.

Right on. If you can help him that is. Work at your co, and hit ASU at the same time.

Well, after moving to Columbia, MO I joined the 175th MP National Guard BN. My current MOS is 25U with an AIT of 19 weeks 4 days. The command doesn't know when I'll leave for AIT yet, and judging by the forums of Military.com, there is a backlog.
However, on Monday I got a call from the state HQ regarding job. He called from home and on vacation to schedule the interview. When I told him that I already enlisted, he assured me that "we'd take care of that on the backend".

I decided to go Army National Guard because of the being in Central MO there aren't that many opportunities for Naval Reserves.

Hey everyone!
Just finished my first drill weekend this past. I'm the ranking Communications Unit member (E-3) as our Comms Captain participated in his last drill. There is another 21 year old who just finished his MOS qualifications and is only an E-1 due to a mix-up in his advancement time-in-rate. My MOS will be in Tobyhanna, PA in sections since I'm in the guard. My first two phase classes start on 2006/05/30 and continue thru June. I've already started my correspondance courses to give me a jump start before school starts though.
