Hey guys,
found a way to sink C2s easy as pie with the 10.5cm DG, in NYGM 2. It's important that they can't shoot back, but can be done either way with a little care.
It took me 9 shells once, and no more than 20 the other times. Get straight behind them, and shoot 4 shells to each side of the boat, directly at the stern (on either side of the propeller/keel), as far below the waterline as it can go without missing. It only takes about 4 or 5 to start those rear compartments flooding. When they flood completely, bilaterally, the boat will sink astern, though this takes a while. It is very reliable - I torpedoed all the escorts on a convoy leaving Gibraltar. Then I proceeded to sink _5_ C2s this way. I almost eliminated the convoy. Great, cheap, tonnage. Might work for other large ships, but i haven't tried yet.
