Hi all, I have this little problem with my boat wanted to know if it is a bug or feature or just plain lack of knowledge from the captain (namely me)
I am in a IIA and everytime I crash dive the boat I can't level off she keeps going down! I want to level off at say 90 m she keeps going. I have tried blowing balast she starts rising but will not stop rising! I set a certain depth she reaches the depth and keeps going down again. This keeps happening until I surface and make a normal dive.
Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance

It should pull out by itself at 70 meters. Check in the Data/Submarine/IIA/IIA.cfg file. You'll find one reference that should be 70m.

Mmm...weird, my IXD2 stops at 70 meters depth after asked for an Crash Dive.
Maybe you should Fire the ''Too much Bradwurst eating fat bastard that works in your Front torpedo room :rotfl: ''

Also make sure Bernard isn't of the diveplane controls:up:
I've never had problems with my boat going below the crash dive depth. The type II should only crah dive to 50m. So check your settings and throw Bernard off the boat.
What I hate most about crash diving is when you forget to do a depth check first and you're in 40m of water. :damn:

I have the same problem with my crash dive for my VIIB. IE: an aircraft spotted, crash dive. It keeps going and I try to stop it at around 50 metres but have to keep clicking on the 50 metre mark several times. I've even tried pressing "a". Any way I can fix this problem?

I just set all my crash dives for 30m. It gets me under quickly, and if I want to go deep, I can click 125m or 200m or whatever in plenty of time.
You can always use P and 5 instead of C - in shallows this is the only safe habit anyway ;)

I looked under Submarines and it lists NSS_Uboat2A, 2D, 7b, 7c, 9b, 9c,9d2 and 21
What file is the VIIB?

That reminds me of the Simpsons Episode where they should learn roman numbers and Bart refused to learn them, later he needed them to escape from a lion pit or something.... I think that was a Treehouse of horror episode...

Yeah, I used Roman Numerals because that's what every source I have uses. I can't help it if the devs use more English than I do. Actually of course the numbers we use are Arabian, but that's another story.

It wasn't a treehouse of horror episode that bart used roman numerals. It was the episode about the lemon tree (pride of Springfield) that was taken by Shellbyville. Bart was trying to escape from a group of Shelbyville boys and used Rocky movies to help choose the correct door. "Rocky II and Rocky V makes Rocky VII, Adrian's Revenge!"
As you may have guessed I enjoy watching the simpson's, I can only remeber the line due the fact it has been repeated so many times.:yep:

I used set keys to give me the depth under keel when I crash dive so I don't have to do it myself. The ping you use to get depth doesn't matter because the enemy already knows where you are.
