Do you bother destroying them? I don't attack armed trawlers and Flowers, I find them too small and too dangerous. Elcos I submerge and ignore, they are only pests to me, not threats. Unarmed small vessels I destroy with my deck gun if they are allied because I don't want my position reported. I would ignore neutral ones. None of these ships are worth torpedoing, in my opinion, but I want to know what you do when you see small vessels, IE <1000 tons or whatever a Flower is. So, what do you do with small vessels that you can destroy with ease?

Depends on weather, location, whether it knows my position, and what else is in the area. If its within range of enemy aircraft I'll ignore it if I can. If it isn't and the weather is suitable I'll take it out with my deck gun. I only waste an eel on something small if its life or death for me and my crew.

I have on occassions decked it out with a Flower class.
I have sunk Tugboats on a couple of occasions, when bigger game was scarce.

If weather is fine I usually deckgun it out with Elco's and Armed Trawlers
Tugs too just for the hell of it - even the armed ones Poland use at the start of the war
