One of my family members is planning next year to take a trip to Italy. Does there happen to be any museums anywhere in Italy that might feature uboats or other WWII submarine places to look into? (The person in question is going to base in Tuscany) Maybe at La Spezia or somewhere else? Any Italians who would know? Any who have travelled there know?

There is a CB (midget submarine of WWII) in the War Museum of Trieste.
You can also find the submarine Toti in the Technical Museum of Milan. That's the first submarine built in Italy after the second world war. You can also have a tour inside.
Of the same class there is another submarine (Dandolo) in Venice.
In Rome (Vittoriano) there is a piece of the submarine Scirč sunk near Haifa in 1942 and also an SLC, a human torpedo used by italian frogmen in Alexandria and Gibraltar during the II World War.
Apart from those, I wouldn't know.

That's a pretty good listing, thanks!
