Asymmetrical warfare...?

Not that I am enthusiastically filled with sympathy - but isn't calling these suicides (after four years of prison and interrogation without any legal support) to be acts of asymmertical warfare a bit too rich?

Don't quite see how that one works. What exactly were they waging war on? They weren't even charged, let alone convicted, of anything.
