Now, I know that the internet is a resource probably hard to come by in Iran because it sometimes spreads truth and ideas beyond the dark ages, but if you do manage to get onto it at some point, go onto Google maps.

Still with me? Good, now go to America...yes, I'm sure you know where it is...no...no, that's Israel...bad Ahmadinejad! There...that's it...that's America......

No, you can't nuke it...

Anyway, in America there's a state called Nevada...yes, that's the one...now find Las Vegas and go North-west...that's it...now that's a place called Area 51, or thereabouts. No, that's not where they hide Satan, that's further east...(j/k)

Scroll up from Area 51, and you'll see a place that looks like the moon...no, it's not where they faked the moon landings! That's Tehran if you keep it up!

Found out a bit more about this geographical anomoly, it's the Yucca flats, site of standard munitions but mostly nuclear munitions testing...if you look at some of the craters carefully you can see the burial site at the centre of the crater where presumably the lift was installed. There's one that's not even a crater but a line in a perfect circle around the lift.
Interesting place the desert around Nevada :D

On a more sub related note, I've spotted subs in the following places: Pearl Harbour for some US subs (about three in drydock) and I think there's one or two RN subs in Plymouth. It's a wonderful thing this Google map :D

I looked it up with Google Earth and found a big deep crater to do with Operation Ploughshare at the northern end of Yucca Flats.

If you have terrain turned on you can see how deep it is.

Also using the terrain feature of Google Earth I reconned the area around Area 51, got the lay of the lay of the land and have now planned my penetration of the base :)
Seriously this google earth is good ****. If the topography is accurate enough you could use it to plan that sort of stuff.
