Hi ya'all!

As some of you might know I have the privledge of knowing a guy who has build his own submarines here in Denmark. As a result I have tried both his subs, Freya and Kraka.

Now, this thursday I met Peter again and we were supposed to take Kraka out again, for a more "techinacal" dive because he wanted to test the speed the balast tanks filled with water. For that task I supplied him with a Heuer stopwatch, that looked very much like the ones the germans used during WWII :)
The idea of a techincal dive in itself was promising, but I was in for a treat!

When we entered the sub he said "OK, im gonna stay on deck for now and you sail the sub!" WOW!!! So I maneuvered it out. For the dives I sat in the "drivers seat" and steered the sub and opened the valves and stuff. All on his command ofcause, but I was basicly sailing and diving the sub! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!
I asked him why he wanted me to do that and he basicly said that at one point I should be able to take the sub out on my own! WOOOOOOOWWW!!!

I was so into the whole task of handling the sub, that I totally forgot to take pictures!

I think we're all a little jelaous of you getting so near that Kraka and being able to ride it multiple times. I'm sure it's a great experience to actually drive a boat like that all on your own :yep:

I love PLAYING at subs. No desire to be on one for real though ESPECIALLY not a home made one.

Well Peter is very professional! His systems has backups and backup of the backup etc.

We are currently investigating the posibillity of adding a bouy with an antenna, so we can transmit while submerged.

I do feel VERY privledged to be able to do this, since theres not that many homebuild subs in the world today...even fewer with the badic shape of a type VII ;)

Any questions or requests of pictures I will be happy to have!
