I noticed that the AI sucks badly even after 15 minutes of bombing my Sub had no scratch....even after putting on Vulnerable bla bla bla that the damages on the Sub are worse then when its turned of and Real sinking times.

but...I love to deal with problems while beeing in a Sub.
so i,m looking for an Mod that makes the AI more challenging

I have an

2,8ghz
512 ddr ram
Geforce FX5700LE 256 TD ram

so wich Mod should I take?

well before you turn to much on your settings try a new Carerr with a starting Date in 43 and look how long you survive there :yep:
From 1939 til spring 41 the live of a Sub is rather easy as the technologies of he Enemy is rather poor as is the state of their crew but belive me it will and it does change and you'll be happy when you survive your patrol.

When you do survive a patrol in 43 at the reality level of 100% and you still think it's to easy then go for one of the big mods like GW or so and look which one will suit you best.

Try Ducimus version of UC (Unified Campaign), it's not bad, but previous advices are right, from '39 till '41 there's little challenge, except running raid in some nasty harbour.

Edit: upgrade to 1 gb of RAM or more if you can, IMHO.

Why do you say that? Just asking, as I'm really ignorant about PC stuff. (No, I mean REALLY ignorant.)

I have 504 RAM and have had no trouble with the GW mod.

43-45 is a nice year's to die **** happens in them 2 years so quick you won't know what hit you. Try it sail a IXD2 in 45,dive time 45 secs you can be seen from miles awayyour a target to every aircraft in the air (and they will find you) then you got the DD's survive that and come back and say it's not a challenge.
Okay ther a few people on here that say the AI are tame to to me at the momment it's hard enough.

The AI is the most fundimental and game breaking letdowns of SH3 honestly.
That said the game does get more challenging.

most of my careers i start in 42. Primarly because 39 to 42 is for the most part a boring snooze fest.

The first mod i would install is Jace's improved airpower. You can find what i think is the latest version bunded withrubini's Harbor traffic ver 1.47. This makes aircraft something to be feared as they should be. (and not as a comic relif when your bored)

Only thing i can suggest after that, is start in 42 and try and survive to the end of the war.

Uhmmmm...i noticed that the game use a lot of RAM, especially with mods that improve naval traffics and adds some atmosphere to harbour (like merchant and patrolling traffic), i've not tried GW, beacuse it raise the realism a little too high for me, standard settings fit well, except for 2 thing: atmosphere and bug fix :)
So when i say "try UC" then i have to make an advice too: upgrade your RAM ('cause actually i have 1 GB and sometimes with TCs i've encountered problem, with stock never happened).
IMHO, this is my experience.
