Missing 3rd Flotilla in stock SH3.

Hi all,

Sorry if this subject has already been debated and fixed.

I would like to start a career in LaPallice, in the 3rd Flotilla.
Since there is no 3rd Flotilla in the stock SH3,
Is there a mod or a procedure to fix that up?

You'd have to replace an existing Flotilla, as tests have shown that it's not possible to add more Flotillas.

But it certainly can be done through editing Flotilla.cfg and Flotillas.cfg. Once you've replaced a Flotilla, you will then need to update the reference names used in **_menu.txt.

Ducimus has done something similar by moving the 12th Flotilla to Penang. Check out the d/l http://rapidshare.de/files/19824374/GPLAY_MONSUN_BOATS_1_1.zip.html for hints.

You'd want to set the start base as Kiel from March 1941 to August 1941 before changing to La Pallice between August 1941 and October 1944.

No disrespect to anyone but why go to Penang been there absolutely sod all there nothing around India Rangoon nothing only bit of excitement I found is around Aden.

well according to the latest supermod from simhq they are adding more flotillas and bases so not sure what can and cant be done

As the latest expansion pack focusses on the Mediterannean campaign, I would suggest that they've simply replaced existing Atlantic Flotillas. I think Wulfmann's been testing it, so he should be able to confirm what they've done.

Do you really think id go through all the trouble of moving a flotilla to penang and not rework the ship spawns in the RND layer? :88) I know all to well the stock settings for shipping out there are crap.
