I have a 19 inch monitor, still I have to scroll left right to read the posts?
Is there a way to fix that?

IE 7.0

This may sound unbelievably dumb but have you tried increasing your resolution?

I usually only have this problem when somebody posts a large image or a long url link thingy.
In FF you can press Ctrl + or - to 'zoom' the page and Ctrl 0 to reset, don't suppose IE has this ?
Also I make sure my 'bookmarks' link scrolly window boundry on the left hand side of my browser is pushed far to the left or off. That tends to let me see large images on web pages fully.
On the other hand could it be some sort of graphics thing? :-?

Do you still have to scroll even with the "favorites" window closed?

I have my screen resolution set to 1280x1024 and I have no problem at all.

Yeah, what's your screen resolution?

1024-768
And it's not in all threads.

1024x768 was a standard when 14" monitors were the average. Now you've got a 19" monitor and your abilities are much greater. You might be retaining the lower resolution for ease on the eyes but then you'll pay the price for many a web page that assume or allow for greater resolutions.

That problem will be more or less gone with the new forum software. An image that is wider than your browser screen no longer influences the entire thread page, only the post that contains the image.

I think you'll find it's the image posted by Oberon half way down that is doing it.

The native resolution of my LCD monitor is 1280x1024 and when large images are posted I need to scroll too - like I now have to do on this thread (albeit only a mm).

If your 19" monitor is LCD, then you better double-check the native resolution - LCD monitors generally look their best when set to their optimum resolution.

No LCD, but changing to 1280x1024 is better. Only these small fonts.

Yeah, it would be nice if people who posted images resized them. At least if it's a longer thread started by someone else.

That resolution (or higher) is normal on a 19 in monitor. Just increase font sizes in the browser and/or windows settings if it's a problem.
