strange mission beginning

When i start a mission(for the last 3-4) my sub's stern is located in the harbor ( i mean built-in the harbor ) and when i start the engines i get damage, sometimes more than 20%.
is there any way to fix this???

Yes i have seen this problem happen to myself. It happened when i changed my home port to lorient from willhelmshaven via a transfer.

Are you using any mods mate?

The problem with the typeIX/D2 being stuck into the rear wall at Bordeaux,can also be rectified by changing the longitude and latitude of the naval base.

Open up file;
SilentHunterIII/data/Campaigns/Campaign/Campaign_LND.MIS
This can be opened up using notepad. look for

[Unit 36]
Name=Bordeaux
Class=NavalBase
Type=407

And change the Long and Lat to this

Long=_103695.000000
Lat= 5447206.000000
Heading= 0.000000

and save.

Ahh that is what i did. Its been so long since i had a d2 i couldnt remember how i did fix it.

Not as weird as this a few patrols ago I was assigned to patrol the grid GR for the upteenth time and was getting pritty sick of going down there,so I minimised sh3 and tried to change my patrol grid to BE85 first time I tried it wouldn't let me,second time it wouldn't let me. third time it worked so the read out was patrol grid BE85 start base Brest Return Base brest.
hit start the game loaded up no probs.
Ordered ahead slow and hit F5 to plot a course and to my suprise
I was nowhere near brest I found myself in the S Atlantic in grid FY :o .
Don't know what happened or why,
So I had sail all the way up to BE85 then got a message that my base was changed to Bergan this now became one hell of a journey.
And to cap it all it started to rain and it stayed like that all the way until I reached Bergan. Now that's what I call wierd.

I guess you still carry all the other IDX/2 bugs as well. Do you have any other mods installed? If not, or just Harbour Traffic , check this out:

I have no mods installed
I only changed the reown value once to help me change the boat (sorry but it's a game in any case)
I will try to change the lon/lat as HW3 said.

all I can say don't tinker with your partol grid ie don't ry and change it with sh3 minimised. weird thing happen.
