I see you guys in the States have it as well, is it getting worst by the year. Seems so here, in the UK a lot of anger on the roads things are getting ugly out there.

AP) -- Stressed Miami drivers speed, tailgate and cut off other drivers so frequently that the city earned the title of worst road rage in a survey released Tuesday.

AutoVantage, an automobile membership club offering travel services and roadside assistance, also listed Phoenix, Arizona; New York; Los Angeles, California; and Boston, Massachusetts, among the top five cities for rude driving.

Minneapolis, Minnesota; Nashville, Tennessee; St. Louis, Missouri; Seattle, Washington; and Atlanta, Georgia, were rated as the cities with the most courteous drivers, who were less likely to change lanes without signaling or swear at other motorists.

More than 2,000 adult drivers who regularly commute in 20 major metropolitan areas were asked to rate road rage and rude driving in telephone surveys between January and March. The survey conducted by Prince Market Research has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.

Drivers owned up to some rude behavior themselves: Nearly all said they had talked on a cell phone while driving, and 64 percent acknowledged they occasionally drive too fast.

Young drivers and people with long commutes were found to be the most likely to react to an aggressive or rude driver. The top reactions included honking the horn, cursing or making an obscene gesture.

No distinct differences were found between male and female drivers.

"Human behavior is so involved with crashes at all levels," said Elly Martin, a spokeswoman for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. "[Aggressive driving] is a pattern of behavior drivers exhibit over and over."

AutoVantage, based in Norwalk, Connecticut, hopes to use the survey to educate people about how to resist road rage. Among its tips are remaining calm and not making eye contact with an angry driver.

Yes we have it here, i know its bad in california. Ive been prone to it on a few occasions myself. My tin foil hat theory is that the amount of road rage that exists, is directly prorptionaly too how overcrowded an area is.

But yes.. i have seen and been in some good examples of road rage. The thing about playing road games is, theres always someone out there who is a little mroe pissed off then you are, and they probably have a gun. That thought keeps me in check most of the time. But when the other bastard eggs you on, its sometimes hard to remember. Most of the time i let it go, but ive occasionally not. :roll:

Another funny thing is sometimes when i drive home from work, i will deliberatly go around in a circle once or twice to make sure no one from the freeway is following me to see where i live. You never know when something you did (either accidently or intenionally) has pissed someone off. So ill occasinnlay do a round robin around the local neghborhood when i see theres a car behind me that came off the freeway offramp with me. I know this sounds paranoid, but my wife has had someone follow her off the freeway, and she ended up driving to the police station before they stopped following her. And ive had a "tail" once or twice myself.

Not only you have NEVER tried the Italian transportation system, especially in the urban centers, but I can safely say you have NEVER tried driving in Rome, at least not while I was in the vicinity.

Again, the proof is your physical well-being, you either have fingers to type or vocal cords and a mouth to dictate some mumbling, or a partially functional brain to send electric signals to a micro-chip connected to the PC.

Jokes aside, I'm usually the one trailing. I have followed on some occasions annoying drivers who either cutted me, or annoyed me by any other amount. I keep the pressure, touching the car gently in the rear bumper when we stop, and sticking to his rear when moving. This game usually stops at a police station, or if my victim looks like he's willing to play back at me.

But that's all too harmless.

Many years ago, during a traffic-jam on a highway, the car behind me kept sounding his horn, even though things weren't moving, and wouldn't move no matter how much he pressed the damn horn, after half an hour I couldn't stand it anymore. I waited for some room to open in front of me, and I moved all the way just before touching the car in front, switched to Reverse, and hit the pedal to the metal. The tires screached and burned some rubber and I SLAMMED the car in the rear at full power. It was great. He never sounded his horn again. The man looked frightened. I opened the door to come out of the car and negotiate the repairs, but by this time the traffic started flowing and he ran away scared, with his front decently well smashed in. The rear of my car was pretty ruined too. But he probably kept his hands off his horn for quite some time, I bet. I must've spared many drivers of the annoyance.

And that's why I'm not a NASCAR driver, I wouldn't have much love and operational cars left by the end of a few races.

But ok, I admit it, that incident happened more than a decade ago, when cars were much cheaper and simpler, but also sturdier and more resistant to low speed crashes (they didn't bend to absorb energy back then).

Hah, sadly ive never been to Europe. Ive been to alot of other places, just never Europe.

As for road rage, the worst i have ever done, is i deliberatly ran someone off the road and into the shoulder of the road. I have ONE big pet peeve.. well acutally two, but this is my number 1 pet peeve.

People who go on the freeway like they are driving on a surface street. The purpose of a freeway onramp is to accellerate to blend in with the flow of traffic. Which is usually 70 to 80 MPH. The purpose of a freeway onramp IS NOT to go on the freeway and become a 40-50 MPH roadblock.

Leaving work to come home i had one of those ****ign idiots in front of me, so i crawlled up his ass. his response was to drive slower..... 10 to 15 MPH. My response, as soon as i had room, was to move over into the lane that the freeway onramp merges into. There i kept abreast of him, if he acclerated id accllerate. If he slowed down id slow down. Eventually he ran out of road and was forced to go off the road. I kept him there running on the shoulder of the road trying to get on the freeway proper for awhile before i decided i had my retribution and moved on.

Theres ALWAYS somebody crazier then you are. If he had a gun (which is acutally fairly common i think, just most people lack the balls to use it), id probably had been on the evenings news as a statistic. At the time i was too pissed to care.

Get a load of this I was crossing a side street connected to the main road look around all clear, I got half way cross the road when this car came flying around the corner, the driver slammed on the brakes thumped the hell out of his steering wheel and dashboard. He then got out the car and had ago at me :huh: for not looking where I was going, I pointed out to him he came around the corner like a bat out of hell and did not indicate. At this point he exploded and thumped the hell out of his car bonnet :o I just walked off, he then got back in his car shot off down the road then BANG yes he hit another car winged it.
