Hi,
I'm intrigued by something. Despite having maximum realism settings set in the sim, why does the map always know my exact location? Does the Navigation Officer update the map for this anyway, regardless of anything else?
I was wondering if a margin of error was introduced as oyu sailed, until you saw something solid like land where you could update your position accurately again? Is this not modelled?
I was thinking about situations where you cross the Atlantic - it would make it a bit more challenging if you had to update your position periodically, as would have to be done in RL.
