Just installed and played for the first time last night.
It is even better than I expected it to be.
This is way SHIII ought to have been released.
Or at least, it plays the way I wish it had been released.
My hat is off to all you modders.
:sunny: Bravo!
Good to hear you like it.

Well, im on patrol as we speak, so maybe after that. :yep:
Does it hurt/disrupt current careers?
Also...where do you recommend I download it from? I see alot of options, but didnt know if there was a preference....

Well, it adds and changes almost 1.8GB of files, so you never know. Just make sure you are in base when you install the mod. Tho, it is recommended to make a clean install of SHIII first to prevent any conflicts with other mods.
I am modless thus far, so I think ill be ok.
Larege download. Ill wait til I go to sleep to get it. Look forward to it!

Should be okay on currents saves, but, definitely be back at port before you install. And, if you've been playing Vanilla, then yer in for some big surprises. I'd be tempted to start a new campaign. Berth again, kaleun.

Thanks guys.
Some days its hard to see the forest for the trees.
@Enigma, when you install GW don't forget to delete or rename the "SH3" folder in your "My Documents" before you run GW.
It can cause head-aches otherwise.

If you dont have JSGME ( the mod enabler ), download it.
2. Read the instructions for JSGME and install it
3. Extract all the GW files to a single folder in your Silent Hunter/MODS folder (Make sure to check that the /MODS/Greywolves folder has a 'Data' folder in it
4. Launch the JSGME and you should see the GW mod in the list. Then just push the button to enable it and start playing
Aye, Skip. Working on it. Thanks!

Yup. I agree. Though I'm just on my first patrol and have seen no action yet I love the changes I've seen so far.
Question: Am I missing a map or some kind? Getting messages about area F, and other cords. that I don't know what they mean.
Might be something from the stock game that I never used or was unaware of, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, it's not ruining the enjoyment of it thus far. Thanks MODDERS!

It is exactly as Ref has stated.
Now if you get a MAP CONTACT with a radio message... You may want to investigate it. ;)

Sometimes the messages are in fact relevant and effective. I am just starting a new career and i recently got orders not to enter the channel due to concentration of mines. I ignored it, thinking its only there for immersion. After i went into dover and sunk some good shipping, i was only my way home. Since it was late at night and i was very tired, i decided to save and finish the next day. After saving, i thought, what the heck. I put on flank, and made waypoints for home. Soon enough i struck a damn mine in the channel and sunk within minutes. Since i was getting ready to hit the sack i wasnt really paying attention to the game at the time.
So sometimes, sometimes the radio messages may be actually of use other than a form of immersion! Dont ignore all of them! Some may in fact save your skin!
Since i was too tired to complete the patrol, i just loaded the save and docked right there.
But other than a few small things i personally dont like about GW, its a great mod overall and is bound to please a lot of people. If your after a good supermod, give this one a try. It has some awesome features and additions and in my books, it beats all other supermods. But only because the other mods go much too far with realism.
So indeed, kudos to the GW team for a good job so far.
