The empire had successfully crushed the bump rebellion and for a short time there was peace in the galaxy, but then one day Kap woke up with a stinking hangover and introduced a new bump thread. What is that all about with that Red Triangles?
If you seriously don't know, Old Uncle Sailor will explain yet another mystery.

In Silent Hunter II any time your periscope or UZO passed over a ship, a red triangle would start flashing. If you locked onto it the triangle would stop flashing and be solid. This of course meant you were ready to shoot. Players complained about this unrealsitic feature and modders tried in vain for years to make it go away.

When UBI was starting to show screenshots for SHIII people noticed a triangle-smaller, but still there. There was a huge howl raised "say it ain't so!" Then we were told that it would only be there on the easier levels, and people calmed down.

Then a set of cute red triangle 'smilies' appeared here, and that was that.
