Many years ago when I was doing some flying in the Midwest ,I was told that in New Mexico ??there is a full size battleship that was constructed to teach pilots how to dive-bomb warships. My question is in two parts:1 Where is it as I never did find it?
2 Does anybody have a photograph of it?
It would be nice to know if the story was true

Well, it was in Muroc Maru, you won't find it though as it has been totally dismantled and nothing left. Here's a couple links:

Blue3Golf, thankyou for that. The person who spun the story seemed to think it was still around in the late 70s/early 80s.Was the muroc maru the only one ?

As far as i know it was the only one like it, any other practice ships I've found were actual ships that were retired.
