My mum got this badge at a boot fair in Essex today, and I was wondering what the story behind it is...the boat on the badge looks a lot like a Kilo but that's about all I can figure out...other than the fact that it's Russian of course ;)
I was wondering if anyone (Kap, Xabba) would be able to help me here.

Here's the badge (sorry about the poor quality, it's from the phone camera):

And here's a rough copy of the cyrillic on the badge, hope it makes sense...a bit of it is hard to make out:

Sweet! :D
One more question, what does this cyrillic mean? I've got it on the back of another badge, I get that the Mockba is Moscow...but what about the rest?

Thanks :D :D

Ok, here's a digi-cam pic, not so good as the last one as it's a bit smaller...

It's on the back of one of these badges, so it'd make sense if it was Victory Moscow :yep:

do you have a macro mode in your cam? you may use some bright light because flash with macro photography is a real pain in the rear end.

My GAWD! you ARE sick! :o :P :P NICE!!

Id say its from the post WWII, Cold War period... I think the design is somewhat different now and its lacking the communist markings (sickle, hammer and star).

Cheers!
