I beg to differ with that, at no point in time did the soviets ever deploy a nuclear submarine to be home ported in the black sea, diesel submarines yes but not nuclear.

THere are not any at Norfolk or any of the east coast bases.The norwegians have some !

The USN sorties their subs at high enough rates, that this type of elaborate underground base would be a waste. Do you know how much time USN subs spend at sea? I don't know myself......but I know it's alot. :|\

ah, the great piece of equipment destroyed thanks to 'democracy' in russia in early 90s. another deed of yetlsin who should be jailed for all the crap he did back than. I say it fill it up with Boreys, and let them go into sea, get close to the shores and listen to their rock-n-roll. :cool:
