Is a waste of your money.
I thought i did go hire out a few videos and sit back and relax over easter friday. America soldiers looked impressive by the cover and Code 46 looked like a good Si Fi . Both of them sucked. Really sucked.
American Soldiers was not a B grade but more like a D grade movie, the acting was well, irritating. The fire fights were total BS. im no soldier but anyone would know that if a rocket that lands right next to you and explodes your surely going to lose an arm or leg or die from it, not get blown 20feet into the air then get up and start shooting again. lol. Its all about a day in iraq, a US unit is on patrol when they get into a fire fight with hungry kill american pig type iraqi's, speeding around in ute vehicles with rocket launchers and AK47's these guys are such bad shooters, yet they manage some how to injured the sargent, or maybe the sargent injured himself dont know but anyways the sargents injuries dont look good, "Hes losing blood man!' " An artery is severed, we gotta get him back to camp man!" Or hell F**kin die Man!, Oh F**k Man!. [Spoiler] yet somehow he lives right through the movie giving orders only to get killed at the end. Oh and to add more drama to his injuries halfway through the movie a rocket explodes right next to him, but the man is still alive?? Must be the clothing, super titanium material created to look like army fatigue. One good scene was to come out of it which had me on the edge of my seat, a few minutes of close combat knive fighting up close and pretty real. But that was it, the rest was rubbish. Oh just to add to the wound there was an anti CIA bit added in, where it showed pro american CIA rebels who seem to me they were hispanic or Ukrainian? Torturing iraqi prisoners.
Anyways the best desert combat type movie is still "Black Hawke Down". Nothing beats it. Give American soldiers to your grandma instead she'll get a good laugh out of it.
My Score: Out of 10, it gets a 5 only cause of the knive fight, otherwise it would of got a 0

Staring that guy from "The shawshank redemption" forgot his name, Tim "someone" with him as the leading actor this Si Fi movie will be good. Well not really. Great story no violence and one or two sex scenes added in which made me fall asleep (you know they gotta add the sex scene in otherwise its not family viewing). But anyway its all about a few years in the future where pills are the way to go, pills or called viruses you swallow and you become anything you want. for example if i wanted to speak chinese, i swallow a pill and i can talk chinese!!!. Code 46 is a rule no one is allowed to break, with DNA perfected, now we can work out who you should marry or who you can/cannot bonk. If you dont abide by the rules "Code 46" your end up spending your life somewhere in an african village where the world doesn't give a sh*t about you. But a pretty good story, only for a very very "smash the dvd player" type ending, the ending will kill you. So dont go giving this to your mum.
Score: I would give it a 8 out of 10 but because of the very bad ending, it gets a 3.
I think i'll go hire out some kids movie like Harry friggin potter, at least i'll get my monies worth!
