In my my first mission of a campaign I have experienced something I have never encountered before. My Type VIIb was running fine until when I noticed that my speed was only 4kts in calm weather at ahead one third. Switching to external view I noticed that my portside prop was not turning. This problem was only when running on the surface with diesel engines. When submerged and running on electric both props were turning. Is this a feature of the stock game, a mod feature, or a bug? I'm running SHIII with the official patch 1.4b along with the GW mod installed and that is it.

I believe you are recharging your batteries. The game automatically switches you to "recharge" mode when you surface, and represents the recharging period by "dragging" a screw. There is some debate about how accurate it is.

That's correct, it's recharging batteries, but of course, you can give the L.I. the order to set normal propulsion.
Cheers

After the batteries, compressed air, and O2 is restored it takes an addtional 8 minutes for the engine to switch over to propulsion.

When answering a question IMO you should leave sporting events on the ice/field/track, etc. Or else use smileys if you're being facetious. How'd you get 21 posts and not know that?
