I can use sh3 commander to start in June, but i cannot get into specific days.
Why not? Simply set the "days spent in base" value to be 5 June 1944 less the "current" date. If calculating the days is too hard, use my Date Calculator programme located at my website. ;)
Note that no matter what you do, you won't get a 5am start time...you'll get whatever SH3 decides.

isnt there a way to do it from my career files too? Usually i always have to upgrade and all that jazz so i wind up starting 1/2 months later..

insolent? I'm not trying to be rude, I was just stating the guy answered you question and was asking what more you wanted.
But if you wish to take this outside I can introduce you to about 10 friends of mine :-j

I would love to meet those 10 "freinds" of yours. I will come alone, and the pain in will inflict with my 4 horsemen (fists, legs) will be so legendary you will wish you never registred to subsim let alone bought a copy of silent hunter. For those things led to our meeting. :stare: :x
*ahem* My 10 friends I was refering to happen to be attached to my 2 fist, not 10 other people.....and it was a joke.
Listen I'm no punk ok, if I appeared to be out-of-line I apologize, I have no intention is starting a words fight with someone who is only seen by me through a moniter and wires.

You basically already answered your own question. Go into the folder marked SH# in My Documents and start poking around.

Make a copy of the folder and store it elsewhere. Then go play and have fun seeing what does what in the different files.

To be quite honest, it's pretty self explanatory. If you'd actually go and open the cfg files and take a look you'd see that. I'm not trying to be an a**hole, but you could have figured with out already without waiting however long for people to reply and going through the misunderstanding above.
The cfg files are very easy to read and edit.
