Changing the "Default" crew response?

Last career, the first time I got attacked by airplanes, I clicked "Dive to periscope depth" and also, unfortunately, clicked "make default" to make it the standard operating procedure. Ok, now, a totally new career, and I've come to hate that choice I made about S.O.P. - there are times when I want to crash dive, not just glide gently down to periscope depth. Heck, sometimes I want to shoot back, just for fun.

Aside from being somewhat puzzled (why does an option I chose last career still affect a new and different career?), is there a 1 or a 0 in a config file somewhere that I can change?

just press escape during the game, and select 'options'.

You can then reset back to the default and then return to the game.

This will display the three choices for your response and you can set the default to what ever you want.
