*sigh*

A while back I had this problem, I could never get 2nd flotille to show up in SH3 Commander to where I could start a career with it.

Well I worked it out and everything was going fine, but I have recently completly uninstalled and then reinstalled SH3 for a clean install of GW and the &@$#^@(!@$(!&^)$! thing has dissappeared again. If I remeber from the last time this happened, nobody else on the face of the planet had this problem, why is it only me.

Has ANYONE else had this problem? I really don't want to have to reinstall it all over again.

*sigh*

The 2cd and 7th Flot show up but they don't have any boats so can't choose them to start with. So I get stuck with the 1st and having to schlep around Denmark to get anywhere. Maybe checking the option to have realistic Uboat start dates will fix the problem?

I've been going through the river. No problems, but watch out for the 2 unmarked dock areas.

Wanted to try the Canal but after 4 patrols only had enough fuel to make it back once, my last before transfering to the 2cd in W-Haven.

I've seen this happen too.

For some reason I'll try to start a Sept 1939 career and there won't be any boats populating the drop down box of any but the 1st Flot are picked.

The 1st Flot has the IIC available, but the others have nothing. I know it used to work on my machine because I've taken the VII out of W-helm before via SH3 Cmnder. I don't know what messed it up, so I just start my careers from in game.

This problem is caused by the availability dates stored in the stock SH3 Basic.cfg file (and carried through by Grey Wolves) and will occur if the SH3Cmdr "Correct U-boat availability dates" option is not selected.

The stock availability dates for the VIIB and IXB are set to 10/39 instead of 9/39 and hence will not appear in SH3Cmdr before 10/39.

To fix, you can do one of three things:

-Start all new careers in SH3Cmdr with the "Correct U-boat availability dates" option selected. Before running the second patrol, switch it off if you don't want realistic availability dates.
-Open Basic.cfg and edit two lines:
.Under [Submarine1] change Month0=10 to Month0=9
.Under [Submarine2] change Month0=10 to Month0=9
-Install RUb or Beery's Flotilla mod, which corrects the dates (in addition to adding 1944 and 1945 start years).

Or, just start all new careers in October 1939. ;)

Maybe Kpt Lehmann would like to fix this anomoly in the GW update patch?

EDIT: Actually, it is a problem created in part by the Grey Wolves mod. The stock SH3 dates have been left in Basic.cfg, but a 1939 start year has been added to Flotilla.cfg for at least the 2nd Flotilla. Thus, the two files have become out-of-sync.

I seems to have *ahem* rectified the situation. I opened the game with normally (w/o SH3 Commander) and went to career screen then exit out. The reopen SH3 C and it should work.

Strange, might just be mine, try it one yours I started my GW campaign in Sep 39 with 2nd F so its best to just give it a shot.

Thanks JSCones  I'll have it fixed in our update.
