I've searched the forum and found a few posts but they all seem to have conflicting information.

Is there anyone out there that has been able to completely remove fatigue?

In Basic.cfg, replace the fatigue_coef area with this:

[FATIGUE_COEF]
;comp 0
RegularFactor00=0
SpecificFactor00=0
BadWeather0=0
;comp1
RegularFactor10=0
RegularFactor11=0
SpecificFactor10=0
SpecificFactor11=0
BadWeather1=0
;comp2
RegularFactor20=0
RegularFactor21=0
SpecificFactor20=0
SpecificFactor21=0
BadWeather2=0
;comp3
RegularFactor30=0
RegularFactor31=0
SpecificFactor30=0
SpecificFactor31=0
BadWeather3=0
;comp4
RegularFactor40=0
RegularFactor41=0
SpecificFactor40=0
SpecificFactor41=0
BadWeather4=0
;comp5
RegularFactor50=0
RegularFactor51=0
SpecificFactor50=0
SpecificFactor51=0
BadWeather5=0
;comp6
SpecificFactor60=-0.1
SpecificFactor61=-0.1
;comp7
SpecificFactor70=-0.1
SpecificFactor71=-0.1
;comp8
RegularFactor80=0
RegularFactor81=0
SpecificFactor80=0
SpecificFactor81=0
BadWeather8=0
;comp9

Fatigue in this game is all wrong IMHO. Ive been playing with it a long time, trying to get something managable. Its almost easier to turn it off.

Micro-managing the crew every couple hours simply isnt fun. For this to work they needed to make some sort of work shifts option, where you could program them to work in shifts of your choosing. Then have it execute automatically or by the press of a button.

This way you could work out who you wanted where during what time and if they had to work longer, then they get fatigued.

For how the game is now, the best option would be to have them fatigue over numerous patrols. Not several times during one patrol.
Then have them spend time in port to recover. The lower their moral, the longer they take to recover fatigue in port.

Spending too much time being hunted, not sinking any ships or having things like injuries and deaths should accumulate fatigue and reduce moral over multple patrols.

You can get a huge bonus to your moral by sinking ships which will lower they time to heal fatigue. A full moral bar will reduce that time to almost nothing and lower the amount of fatige you recieve.

Essentially managable over weeks, not over hours.

Yep, agree, it would be great also if it was Kind of, optional Shifts like you say, and after you decide wich kind of shifts, 8 h. 12 h. 24 h. that it managed the shifts autom. during patrol, or even giving that task to one of your boat officers... :up:

SH3 Commander 2.4 will do it as well. Open up SH3 Cdr 2.4 go to SH3 options tab and click on Game settings there you can change Fatigue to none.

Hey Soviet_Warlord, hope you don't mind this but used your instructions and altered the Grey Wolves Basic Cfg, and made a no fatigue Basic Cfg for the G.W... :up:

So anyone who is using Grey Wolves Mod, can download this
file and simply extract this 7z file into JSGME Mod Enab. and enable it, it will overwrite the GW Basic Cfg, but no problems since i just changed the Fatigue Coef. model for the ones from S. Warlord.

Remember that this File it's just for Grey W. Mod...

I tried to overwrite the fatique file as recommended above and I got a message that said "you are about to save a document in Text-Only format which will remove all formatting. Are you sure you want to do so? "

Is it safe to proceed? Sorry for asking such a question, Thanks for your help! Joe S

Will this work with the Unified Campaign modded version?

I installed it and the fatigue stopped but the morale and health are going downhill fast!!!!!....some are already at half value from the start level...and that is on the first patrol with no damage...no injuries....and two sinkings in a Type IIA boat.

Maybe I had better change back to the NYGM/GW/Unified Basic config file that I saved.

If you opened in Wordpad as jcwolf suggested then yes. Next time open it in notepad and you won't get that query.
