I don't know if I'm missing the info but can someone explain to me the major mods, GW, NYGM, IuB, etc. I want to DL one of those but I don't know how they differ from the vanilla SH3.

*Sorry for the noob questions*

They mostly add more realism to differents level of taste.

IuB is a lite and balanced realism mod

Grey Wolf is an extended realism mod with tougher ship to sink and different fatigue system

NYGM tonnage war is focused on real close to realism with tougher ship to sink and a different approach on how you conduct your career based on the tonnage accumulated rather than renown points.

Is there anyway I can have realistic mod installed but still be able to change things (for example: get rid of fatigue)?

IuB allow you that.

Default install is supplied with no fatigue at all, You can install Full RuB option that allow you the Battle fatigue (No recover possible) or you can add more fatigue option by copying provided cfg files to your SH3 Commander.

GW have also 2 different fatigues based on shift hours.

SHIII Commander lets you change fatigue models at will.

SHIII Commander lets you change fatigue models at will.

And also allows you to get rid of them completely.

When using the NYGM Tonnage War Mod you can set the 3DRender=32 and that means that any compression above 32 has no fatigue penalty. Under 32, you have 12 to 18 hours of fatigue, so no issues.

However, you will then miss out on the 'Morale' component of the NYGM Crew Management Module.

What would rock is if someone could put together one of those product comparsion tables. A list of the individual mods or elements on the left and then check boxes under Rub, NYGM, IuB, and GW to indicate which mods had what.

Anybody have a *lot* of spare time?

a comparison chart would be a super idea and really helpful for all, especually noobs like me.

Amen that. Plus what needs to be installed-uninstalled-backed up in preparation to have a trouble-free running of the desired mod.
