I just loaded SH3 on my new laptop. Now the lapttop takes about three times longer to boot up. Anyone experience this?

Do a simple test. Find, download and run the StarForce uninstall utility. Does the notebook reboot faster afterwards?

Don't worry! StarForce will automatically reinstall itself the next time you run SH3, if that was your concern.

It doesn't matter which of the two do it because you can't have one without the other.

Well, try what Avon suggested. If Windows boots up correctly without the SF driver the next step would be to try the SF driver update. But before you do that you must start SH3 first, so that SF gets reinstalled.
