Can some one tell me which files I need to tweak to regain the God's Eye sonar while using RUB?

Also, Is there a way to restore the contacts even when you zoom out? This is really the only thing I don't like about RUB. Just because I zoom out the map, why don't the contacts (especially visually acquired ones) remain on the map regardless of zoom level. I don't understand the logic of this change.

I love the rest of it. Fatigue is a bts puzzling, but I think I porked someting in the mod step that messed this up.

I want the God's eye back because I am trying to teach my son to work the Sim and he needs more help to visualize what's going on.

THanks!

Not too sure if i can be of help but as you've had no answers so far here goes...

I've never used RUB but have stuck with some parts of IUB and now GW. The sonar contactlines were all changed into black so one couldn't distinguish a warship from a merchant just by looking at the map. As i felt my sonar operator should be able to tell me if a warship approached i wanted back the normaly coloured ones.

I achieved this by copying the TGA files from my orginal back-up into SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\Gui with the exception of those having obviously nothing to do with the sonar

This got me back to what i wanted and though i'm not sure what RUB changes exactly it may restore it all for your install.

As for the other matter on the mapcontacts i can't be of help...

UnRealUBoat 1.43 ought to do it.

Most of the graphics had been blacked or tranparent'd.

Sig for the link.
