Boy if you have a 56k like me, it will take you 9-12 days to download it.
to bad there is not away to buy a CD of it from subsim. :damn: :damn:

If the GW guys were really devious, they could've submitted it to UBI to publish as an expansion pack for SH3, there's so much content and it would be a dream for UBI, "Hey we did all the work, no extra production costs from you except for maybe testing and all you have to do is publish it!". Goes to show how loyal they are to community...

Let me talk to Mr. Stevens in a few days and I will see what we can work out.

As long as all proceeds go directly to the upkeep and/or maintenance of this website I have no problems with that.

My primary concern though is that I want GW to never be viewed as a work for profit.

Are you downloading via Bittorrent , or Terrapin web???


Just cause i was having the same prob at Terrapin, his bandwi. is packed with loads of ppl. downloading everyday man,
With bittorrent took me around 6 hours to download the all stuff,
had the link and whent to bed, in the morning it was downloaded! :up:


And now there are lot more guys sharing it, and i know they are downloading 150 Kbs/s, so it will take less bro... :rock: :up:
Try it out, you'll don't have nothing to lose! :up:

I have not tryed downloading it because it is so large and would take to long, I just hope that some day one could buy a copy of it on CD or DVD
it would also help this website and the folks that did the work. :D :D

Go here mate, believe me, download the bit torrente program , install it and you'll see, there are no Spyware in this it's just a file sharing program and you'll only share what you whant...

give him a six pack of Beck's and a blank CD.
I'll bet he will be glad to help you.

i also think it is a good idea to have a CD available from Subsim with all proceeds (if any) to go the the support of the Subsim and Terrapin's site.

What about a donationware. By making a donation to the hosting web sites such as this site to help cover cost; receive a free CD of GW.
This is done on a number of flight sim sites to cover web site expenses, why not here?

Great thought,Onkle,might go for it,he deserves the nonprofit hard cash.I paid $5.00 to a friend with Hi-speed,I am hopeing,GW.will be the standard,by which all SHIII mods are judged

If in each country each person sent a CD to the next who copied it and passed it on that would spread the postage cost to everyone paying once and dial up people being able to get this important addition.
Just PM addresses and do it like a chain. This has also worked well in the Flight sim arena for big projects and would do this big super mod well.
