None of the above. I dont use RUB, IUB, SW, or GW.

Ive modded the crap out of my game. Ive acutaly done ALOT of modding, some of said mods fixed things before people released an "offical" fix for the same problem. I just never release anything.

Reminds me of voting at the polls in the US.

All I know is I want to _not_ vote for SeaWolves.

But you have to vote for something...

Ive modded the crap out of my game. Ive acutaly done ALOT of modding, some of said mods fixed things before people released an "offical" fix for the same problem. I just never release anything. Thats a sin if you have the gift. :P

Why i never released anything:

- because i assumed anyone can do what was done, all you needed to do was d/l the tools. (range/crush depth adjustments, crash dive time adjustments, whatever)

- i posted how it was done with the tools that we have. I didnt see the need to release a file.

- Mod or file incompatibilty with existing mods..

- Other ppls mods i used as a base. Made various adjustments to HT and IC for example. But they are not my works.

- Made several gameplay adjustments where i balanced realism to fun, while keeping things challenging and not easy for me the player. Some of which are not historically accurate, which would only be critcized by those who demand spot on historical accuracy. For example i changed the torpedo sotrage configurations on VIIc/41 and C/42 to make them unique and worht using, or improved crash dive time on various boats by a couple seconds, or experimented with passive sonar working with decks awash, (dont recall if i got it to work right or not),etc ,etc.

- Im lazy. Didnt feel like supporting a mod release with multple versions. For example if i spent more time on it, that alternate monsun boat campaign i did release (and intentionally let it die and be forgotton), could have been alot of fun, it was the start of something cool i think. But it would have consumed my all my freetime.

The one's that doesn't cost anything and is more expansive?

***

I don't use any specific mod myself, either, since I have my own custom version of SHIII, but hey... I'm one of those few people that would subject themselves to the torture of putting together their own perfect data folder :88)

That is, by all means, not to say that mods are not worth the time and effort. Just ask the average Kaleun who plays them! :)

If I was not beta testing Seawolves I would not have either of the above for the same reason others have stated. I have a highly tweaked version that is like I want and it uses the fine efforts of many free modders but I then tweak many of those again to suit my idea of reality. I also threw in many ships from Seawolves.

I do enjoy Seawolves and am glad to have it as a second install but I would not give up my SH3 version for any other

Don't forget to be honest and tell anyone that buys Seawolves a bounty will be placed on their head along with the Danish cartoonist.
Infidels must be delt with harshly! :rotfl:

A little bit OT here:

Zombiewolf, you should do whatever makes you happy.

However, if you have tried GW and didn't like it, please state why.

Just leaving a negative comment doesn't help anyone make anything better.

I'm sure that the builders of any mod welcome CONSTRUCTIVE
criticism.

I cant beleive this question is still being asked....

Politics aside ... Seawolves is like, a year out of date, we've come miles since then!
Its also very rough around the edges and buggy!

Its like choosing between a glass bead for $20 or a diamond for free.
RUB and IUB were the current supermods when sea wolves came out - and they both outclassed it with flying colours.

The likes of GWX and NYGM leave it in the dust.
I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who purchased a copy of either of X1's expansions, for the same price you could have bought case of beer and had 10 times more fun with that.

No doubt that GWX is awesome, i allready wrote that thousands of times, but do you played NYGM or WAC ? Do you tryed to see the good sides of other mods as well? Look at the both sides of a stick not just at :sunny: one.

What i`am trying to say is that the all big mods are good and in some situations are just super.

What ya talking about? The author of the topic said "which supermod is your favorite? they sound so alike" So, the question is, which mod of these two that SOUND ALIKE you are using?

I have myself tried NYGM in the past when WaW turned to NYGM only briefly. It was ok, but I like to use mods that add HUUUUGE amount of stuff. OOO for TES: Oblivion, FFUR for OFP, Rome Total Realism for RTW etc. Havent yet gotten into WAC and most likely will never try it, as I play ~5min of SHIII in 2 months. :p

I think that everyone can agree that even a simple sound mod to replace seagull sound with another is better than Seawolves. ;)
